A rapper's journey to the heart of humanism
The famous rapper and philologist Sergio López ‘Haze’ embarks on a journey to the heart of humanism following the footsteps of the author of the first Spanish grammar: Antonio de Nebrija, a grammarian who was key in the Catholic Monarchs’ reform project.
Haze’s journey takes him to the places where the humanist passed through: from Lebrija, where he was born, to Alcalá de Henares, where he died; passing through Salamanca, Extremadura, Seville, and Bologna, Italy.
Months before the discovery of America or the reconquest of Granada by the Catholic Monarchs, a multifaceted and brilliant character published the first Spanish grammar, laying the foundations and rules still followed by more than 580 million people worldwide. But who was Antonio de Nebrija? This is the question that philologists and historians will attempt to answer alongside Haze.
