We are thrilled to announce that this Wednesday, the 29th, we are premiering Crime and Law, a four-episode documentary series that delves into some of the most shocking crime stories in Andalusia.
With a true crime approach and a strong public service focus, the series is directed by noir novelist Susana Martín Gijón and features testimonies from victims and experts, including psychiatrists, police officers, forensic specialists, and lawyers.
Through a thorough analysis, Crime and Law will explore cases of murders, kidnappings, revenge crimes, and serial killers, as well as the strategies used to combat these threats. The first episode, titled “The Unexpected,” will present three shocking stories:
- The case of Pepa Richarte: A 62-year-old woman from Seville who was wrongfully imprisoned in Argentina after her ex-partner committed murder, dismembering the woman who had given them shelter in Rosario.
- The María Luisa Park murder: In February 2016, a 31-year-old woman was brutally murdered after being sexually assaulted in one of Seville’s most iconic parks.
- The 2020 anti-terrorist operation: A complex operation by the Spanish Civil Guard that led to the arrest of a Pakistani citizen who was making jihadist proclamations prior to a potential attack in Spain.
